Cassio Audi and his influence on the Brazilian music scene

Once heavy metal music broke into the international scene it found a rather natural home in Brazil and would, later on, be making history as some of the best music bands that ever came from this country played this genre of music. This bands featured one of the best drummers that there was in Brazil at the time in the name of Cassio Audi.

Cassio Audi was born and brought up in Brazil he embraced his heritage with a lot of pride and he learned how to speak English fluently as well as Spanish like most Brazilians.

In the eighties, he had become so good at playing drums that he was one of the most recognized drummers in the country and was able to rise and be the major drummer for various bands.

Brazilian heavy metal was identifiable by its drummers they had introduced a twist to it that included loud and emphatic beats that contained massive sound. they would then gradually introduce an unpredictable, rebellious and brutally blunt subgenre of hard rock into the world’s marking an evolution in the Brazilian musical scene.

Cassio Audi was a heavy metal drummer he played for one of the most iconic bands by the name viper where he worked together with Andre Matos, Felipe Machad, Pit Passarell, and Yves Passarell.In this group, he was the main drummer between the years 1985 and 1989 they began with a music demo titled SP Metal Project which was then followed by another titled The Killera Sword.The success of this demos marked the beginning of there commercial inroads when they realised the album Soldiers of Sunrise they were now begin considered as one of brazils best metal bands.

This successful album was to be followed up by another in the name of Theater of Fate in 1987.He had also earlier on played for he was also a drummer for Projeto and Killera and had been very instrumental in their success.
