Thor Halvorssen has recently been appearing on many news media channels and has written articles about the state of global human rights for such esteemed publications as The New York Times and USA Today. As a human rights activist Thor Halvorssen has been praised by many of the world’s leading political groups, including the British Houses of Parliament and United Nations where Thor has made important speeches; as an expert in human rights and the problems facing many socialist groups Thor has also been invited to appear at some of the most important conferences in the world, such as TEDx where Halvorssen’s speeches have been important in providing information about human rights activism to people around the world.

The most impressive aspects of the work of Thor Halvorssen have been identified by many of his most famous supporters and seen numerous awards and areas of recognition provided for Halvorssen throughout his career. Political groups have often been important in advancing the work of Thor Halvorssen, who was also awarded a Presidential Silver Medal by the Government of Romania to commemorate his work to advance human rights for all as part of the celebrations for the anniversary of the uprising in Romania.
